Insurance & Fees
We are currently in the process of contracting with insurance providers. This list will be updated as new plans become active. Please contact our office if you have questions about your specific insurance coverage.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation -- $300
Standard Psychiatric Follow-up -- $140
Extended Psychiatric Follow-up -- $190
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. For your convenience, Psychiatry By Design securely processes payments through Stripe, allowing you to pay using major credit and debit cards, Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards, as well as ACH bank transfers.
For patients using insurance, any copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, or other patient-responsible balances are due at the time of your appointment. Insurance coverage and benefits vary by plan, and while we strive to provide accurate estimates, you are ultimately responsible for any balance not covered by your insurance.
For patients choosing to self-pay or utilize out-of-network benefits, payment is collected at the time of your visit. A superbill can be provided upon request for you to submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement.
If you have any questions regarding fees, insurance coverage, payment options, or financial policies, please don't hesitate to contact our office. We are committed to making the payment process as simple, secure, and transparent as possible.
As a courtesy, we may verify your insurance benefits prior to your appointment; however, verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment. Patients are responsible for understanding their individual insurance coverage, including deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and non-covered services.
If Psychiatry By Design is not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use your out-of-network benefits. Depending on your individual policy, your insurance company may reimburse a portion of the cost of your care.
As a courtesy, we can provide you with a detailed receipt (commonly referred to as a "superbill") that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and cannot be guaranteed.
We encourage you to contact your insurance carrier before your appointment to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, reimbursement rate, and any prior authorization requirements.
Under federal law, patients who are uninsured or elect not to use their insurance are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for scheduled medical services. This estimate is intended to help you understand the anticipated costs of your care before treatment begins.
If you are uninsured or paying out of pocket, a Good Faith Estimate will be provided upon request and as required by law. Please contact our office if you have any questions regarding your estimate or payment options.
Cancellation policy
A $50 fee will be charged for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice. This fee is not covered by insurance and is the patient’s responsibility. We understand that emergencies arise and exceptions may be made at the provider’s discretion.
